American Revolution (1775 - 1783)

Civil War (1861 - 1865)

Reconstruction (1865 - 1877)
After the Civil War, the United States entered a period of Reconstruction. During this time, the South was rebuilt, and the freed slaves were given the right to vote. However, Reconstruction was a difficult time, and there was a great deal of violence and unrest.
Industrial Revolution (1865 - 1900)
In the late 19th century, the United States experienced a period of rapid industrial growth. This growth was fueled by the invention of new technologies, such as the steam engine and the telegraph. The Industrial Revolution transformed the American economy and society.
Progressive Era (1890 - 1920)
In the early 20th century, the United States entered the Progressive Era. This was a time of social and political reform. Progressives fought for a variety of causes, including women's suffrage, child labor laws, and antitrust legislation.
World Wars (1914 - 1945)
The United States fought in both World Wars. The First World War was fought from 1914 to 1918, and the Second World War was fought from 1939 to 1945. The United States played a major role in both wars, and it emerged from the Second World War as a global superpower.
Cold War (1947 - 1991)
